Chandler Ochoa

I am a storyteller. While walking the streets of Havana, Cuba, I looked up and snapped this photo because of the countless stories it tells: towels from a weekend trip to the beach, the few shirts that someone owns and the family struggling to get by in a country that seems to have little pity for the working class. Stories have power. They can inspire hope or spread hatred. I try to harness that power for good every time I publish my writing whether it be for a newspaper, on a website or social media.
